John Humphrey is the founder of Microscale Devices, LLC. He was also the founder of Industrial Buffers, LLC a company specializing in bespoke sample collection devices for high throughput genotyping customers. Both companies were founded based upon technology or concepts that were developed over a decade of sales and applications experience working with startups in this space. In addition he has experience as an industrial chemist which provided needed exposure to the concepts required to reliably implement a process at scale. He has undergraduate degrees in Classics and Chemistry from Holy Cross and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Case Western Reserve University.
Chris Moore received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation, he served for 5 years in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer, holding various positions in nuclear engineering and electrical communications work, while simultaneously earning his Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. After the Navy, he took a full-time position at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD, working as a project manager, software developer, and engineer primarily for various submarine communications and national intelligence related tasks. While at JHU/APL, he received his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and his MS in Information Assurance, both from Johns Hopkins University.
Chris is licensed as a Professional Engineer in MD and NC.
David Jarvis is founder of Technical Sales Consultants, LLC and provides consulting and training services to life science companies. He has held executive level technical, sales and marketing positions in both the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry at Duke University.
Lee Mulkey is the founder of Widespread Investments, which provides computer equipment and software for amusement games. He is the managing partner of Industrial Buffers, a genotyping company that delivers specialized sample collection devices. Lee is the managing partner of LMKS Investments, a private equity company with investments involving genetics, health care, software development, and communications. He is a partner in Reach Construction Group, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in general contracting, project management, and turnkey construction solutions. Lee graduated from East Carolina University where he received a double major in Economics and Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
